1994 marked the starting line for Steve’s complete resto. “I bought my ‘68 Camaro completely disassembled, it was a ‘basket case’ filled with new and choice parts including the console gauges and cowl induction hood.” To help with the completion of the car, Steve purchased two other Camaro’s for parts, then sold the shells and still came out a few dollars ahead.
“I upgraded the front suspension with Heidts A-arms, dropped spindles, sway bar, dropped Eaton coils, and the rear sports Hotchkis lowering multileaf springs”. The engine is 355 c.i. with Twisted Flow 195 heads, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake and cam. Steve installed a 700R4 transmission, and 3:55 rear gears. In finalization of the build, Steve completed the body work and painted his ride in the garage. Though it took many years to complete, one thing stands for sure. Perfection takes time.
