With email, text messaging, FaceTime and Skype, we really no longer mail postcards or letters. The USPS announced legendary crooner Johnny Cash will grace a special stamp issued this year as part of its new music icons series. The collection will feature two other musicians in 2013, who have yet to be revealed.

The Johnny Cash forever stamp is meant to resemble a 45 rpm record sleeve, the stamp features a black-and-white portrait of Cash taken in 1963 during a Frank Bez photo shoot for Ring of Fire: The Best of Johnny Cash.

Reminder: stamp cost just went up, but its a small piece to pay (46 cents) to send a friend or family owner a person message.
