AMBR2014 ^ 2014 AMBR Winner

The 65th Grand National Roadster Show or as it is known GNRS is one of the first large shows of the year. Once known as the Oakland Roadster Show, it is the longest running indoor car show in the world. The show at the Pomona Fairplex offers a great mix of classic automobile. Traditional hot rods, rat rods, kustoms, lead sleds, lowriders, dragsters, muscle cars and every year they feature them of cars. This year theme was Need for Speed. One of the main reasons that this show is so large, this is the show that crowns America’s Most Beautiful Roadster. The 2014 AMBR winner is Wes Rydell’s 1935 Chevrolet Phaeton, Designed by Chip Foose, and built by Rad Rides by Troy built. Congratulations to Wes and the rest of the contenders.

This years event was buzzing with photos and comments on blog sites. The show began with a unfortunate accident that resulted in a wrecked hot rod and a injured judge. One of the contenders was approaching the viewing area to be judged when his throttle stuck, running over GNRS judging chairman Vic Cunnyngham, resulting in serious, though not life-threatening injuries. We wish Vic Cunnyngham a speedy recovery.
